Dapper Day is one of my favorite events at Disney. There is just something cool about dressing up and strolling around the parks. This year the event was at Hollywood Studios, so I knew I wanted to do a Sorcerer Mickey inspired look for the occasion.
I had a blue and silver vintage-inspired tulle and velvet dress by Collectif I’d been hoarding for 3 years just waiting for a Dapper Day when it was cool enough to wear it. Luckily, the temperature was a rare low 50’s in Florida this particular weekend. Knowing it would be a great all-around Dapper Day accessory, I also had purchased this red bolero jacket on clearance from Unique Vintage a while back.
The only pieces of this outfit I had to DIY were the water bucket “purse” and the fascinator. The fascinator was pretty easy – a $10 Amazon find came with the veil attached. All I had to do was add stars (silver puff stickers I had in my craft bin) and the iconic crescent moon shape from Mickey’s hat. This was easy to cut out of a foil card stock piece using my Cricut.
I knew I wanted the bucket to look like water was splashing out of it, so I picked up a remnant of a silky blue fabric and tossed it over the edge. This was honestly the least amount of effort or DIY’ing I have ever put into a Dapper Day look, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy!
