Let’s talk Bucket Lists. You know, that list of “things I must do before I die.” Well, yours truly has a Disney Bucket List, and if you’re a fan of the Mouse as much as I am, you can probably relate. Seriously, I have a Pinterest board for it and everything (nerd alert!)
Last year I dragged my (unwilling) friends with me to check off the first item on the bucket list: Disneyland Paris. (I”m planning a post on that experience for those of you who haven’t been, because there was much I learned that my expectations weren’t aligned for.) This month I spent a long weekend in New York City visiting my brother, and was able to hit Item #2: the Mickey Mural in SoHo! The mural is by cartoon artist Incarcerated Jerkfaces, and if that isn’t the best name for a street muralist I don’t know what is. (Ok, maybe Banksy.)
If you have a chance to visit New York, you can find this mural in a tiny little neighborhood called NoHo on the corner of Houston and Mott Street. NoHo is short for NOrth of HOuston for those of you not up on your NYC neighborhood lingo. And it’s pronounced ‘How-Stun’, not ‘Hew-Stun’ *climbs down off soap box*.
It was all of 32 degrees this day and I was bundled up to go meet my friend Laura for drinks at a bar around the corner, so it was the perfect opportuity to walk by and snap a few pics without going out of my way. (Thank you to the kind stranger who took this pic for me, and also to your girlfriend who trained you how to be a good Instagram Boyfriend!)
Yellow Scarf (tied around bag): Old Navy
My favorite LV Croisette bag (because I am bougie) is a souvineer from aforementioned Paris trip last year.
Kinda makes the 30 degree weather worth it, right?
